Lead Life Cycle - Creation and Communication

This process is to be followed for all the leads that are getting generated from the lead source - AppExchange

  1. As soon as the Lead is pushed into the system, it undergoes a duplicate check against existing contacts, accounts, and leads

  2. If there is an existing contact in the system with the same email ID, it is tagged to the lead under the parent contact and parent account

  3. If there is an existing account in the system with the same domain, it is tagged to the lead under the parent account

  4. If there is an existing lead in the system with the same email ID, it is tagged to the lead under the parent lead

  5. Once the deduplication and parent tagging are completed, there are fields related to the product of interest ( Appexchange Link, Installation link, Success Story Link, and testimony link) and Calendly (Calendly link) that are auto-updated on the lead

  6. An email is triggered to the email ID provided on the lead as soon as deduplication is completed. based on whether the lead is new or duplicate, the email triggered contains resources, contact links, and details about the product of interest for the lead owner

  7. Simultaneously, a task is created for the lead owner with a pre-populated due date for the lead owner to connect with the lead and provide preliminary updates on findings

  8. The task can be marked completed only if the Lead Status is updated on the task, similarly, the Lead Status field can only be updated once the Company Profile and Proposed Solution are provided on the Lead

  9. A report can be created for the tasks to track which were completed and closed on time and the ones that were delayed
